Yara — From Supermarket to Professional Kitchen

Yara Organic is a Sri Lankan brand dedicated to sustainable harvesting and premium organic coconut products. As the company prepared to enter the global market, the brief was to develop a visual identity and packaging system that could carry the brand’s values, purity, origin, and ethical integrity, across retail shelves, hospitality settings, and international distribution.

The brand was designed to reflect Yara’s deep-rooted ethos. The identity balances modern global appeal with authenticity, through hand-drawn botanical motifs, a warm, nature-inspired palette, and clean, shelf-ready packaging that speaks to both consumers and chefs.

Every element, logo, colour system, illustrations, messaging, and photography, was created to communicate trust, nourishment, and a connection to the land. The result is a premium yet accessible brand that expresses Yara’s commitment to sustainability, quality, and global reach.

The packaging and photography were carefully designed to translate across both retail and hospitality environments. For retail, the layout and visual details were crafted to feel fresh, warm, and approachable on shelf. In contrast, the foodservice packaging adopted a more streamlined and premium aesthetic, using bold, simplified design for quick recognition in busy kitchen settings. Photography was styled to bridge these worlds, combining natural, hands-on food preparation with polished, modern visuals. Whether in a home kitchen or a professional culinary space, the brand’s visual language communicates quality, care, and versatility.
